Well, As for me, I don't like novel becasue I think it is unreal and described with so many complicated expression. So it makes me uncomfortable. I prefer nonfiction which is easier to understand than novel. It is very impressing because it tells the fact. I can learn about lesson from people's lives. I know All nonfictions aren't good. Some books exaggerate an achievement and distort the truth. So be careful about choosing the good book!
Actually, I don't like reading novels, but I'm reading some novels written in English because I must study English. How unlucky we are!!!!!! We are deprived of enjoying our culture and mother tongue!!!!! It's tragedy. Just I remember I enjoyed reading "당신들의 천국", "벽오금학도" long ong time ago. Are they too conceptual?
To compensate for your sincere help I still make comments on all blogs of my class. Sleepy now.
As eun-ju said, from long time ago, I didn't read Korean book. It's kinds of pressure from English. I used to like reading historical novel series of JO Jung Rae. He has a good sense of history, keep balance, superb expression, sympathy to common people...
Anyhow, sometimes I do like to read korean books. Recently I read "Wining Habit," which is totally different from the title. It give much impression how I treat my students and their parents. Eric, Keep up the good work!!!
Hello Erric, I'm Hans. Your blog is wonderful. I'm not good at computer. And I don't like computer. I think you are already very positive. I mean that if you are not very positive, you can't be so active. Don' worry and don't bother yourself with it.
